Until God opens the next door, praise Him in the hallway.

This quote pretty much sums up where I am in life right now.

Looking for work has been full of surprises and unexpected twists and turns.

I am so thankful that I know God cares about my life and the direction I am headed, and I am so blessed to have the wonderful support of my family and friends.

The opportunities that have been laid in my path have been out of norm, and yet God keeps providing next steps.

I still am facing hard decisions. Have a lot of questions. I am so thankful for the people that God has placed specifically in life to help me in this time.

(Yes, I realize everything I just wrote is very vague.)

In midst of these times in life, I try and take note of what helps me keep momentum for every day life.

My List:

I remember that my sister recommended a great sermon series about our purpose in life, and I have started to rewatch some of the sermons to refresh my memory. Here are the links to all the videos on YouTube:

  1. The Real Meaning of Life
  2. Do It All – Watched this sermon yesterday, it was sooo good!
  3. Take the Stairs
  4. Our Aim

If you need practical reminders on how to proceed with finding those next steps in finding another jobs, I recommend “Do Over” by John Acuff.

I discovered a great podcast episode from the “Going Scared” podcast hosted by Jessica Honegger:

Audio book recommendation:

She’s Still There by Crystal Evans Hurst

You Are The Girl For The Job by Jess Connolly

I hope from the bottom of my heart that some of the things I have listed above help you during this time of searching for a job or a career change.

Until next time…
