My word for 2020 is ‘Bloom’.

I have learned so much in these last few years. They have been difficult seasons that have resulted in fruitful living. This word is very appropriate for the next season of my life. I know God will continue to grow me in ways that I do not expect.

Let me encourage you in whatever season that you in.

Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you. – 2 Corinthians 13:11

Here is to 2020!

My Favorite Quote

“Not all who wander are lost” – J.R.R. Tolkien

Yes, really…This is my favorite quote!

I love the scene in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, after the meeting in Rivendell, the fellowship is officially setting off towards Mt. Doom, and Frodo does not know where he is going and has to ask Gandalf.

It is okay to not know where you are going. We are part of journey or rather an adventure called life. It is unpredictable and filled with so many ups and downs and twist and turns. Frodo and Sam made so many mistakes along their journey to Mt. Doom. Spoiler alert: Eventually, they made it to Mt. Doom and The Ring was destroyed!

During days like today, where I experienced a bump in the road, I am back to wandering again and trying to figure out that next step. I know that everything is going to be okay because I recognize that all of this is just part of the adventure of my life.

My encouragement to you is this great quote from a man named Winston Churchill.

“Never, never, never give up!” – Winston Churchill

Let us encourage each other along the way! After all, Frodo would not have made it to Mt. Doom without Sam.

Hope you are having a great week! Happy Wednesday!
