What is it about drinking tea that is so relaxing? It helps me to de-stress, slow down, and enjoy the little things.
Lately, I have rediscovered what fun it can be to drink tea in an actual tea cup. 😱😆 It is like the cherry on top, adding that extra bit of happiness to this relaxing afternoon ritual.
So…Enjoy the little things!
My Mom’s tea cosy was a little worn out so I decided to try and make her a new one for Mother’s Day.
Turned out beautiful! #DIYteacosy
This is what I did to create the tea cosy:
Yarn: I used one skein of homespun cream yarn for the tea cosy. For the flower, I used one skein of a thick red glitter yarn. (I found the glitter yarn at Hobby Lobby.) I used black yarn – Red Heart yarn for the middle pom-pom.
- Pattern for tea cosy (used a I/5.5 size hook)
- Pattern for petals of Flower – I crocheted multiple strands of flower petals until there was no cream yarn showing through (used an N/9 size hook)
- Then I used a tiny pom-pom (in black yarn) for the middle of the flower.
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend! #HappyMothersDay
